Refund policy
For items purchased online (excluding bespoke or one-off items), you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a refund. You must notify us via email at mel@melbarrettstudio.com. Once you’ve notified us, you then have 14 days to return the item. Please return it by standard first class mail. You will have to pay the cost of postage and you will need to request free ‘proof of posting’ from the Post Office. https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/367/related/1
Upon receipt of the item we will reimburse you the standard cost of postage, which is currently £6.10.
To be eligible for a refund, your print must be returned free of marks, indentations and any other damage. Your print is a delicate item. It will be handled by experienced operatives with the utmost of care prior to shipping; all prints are inspected thoroughly to make sure they are free of marks, indentations and damage before being sent out.
Returns will need to be sent to the following address: Mel Barrett Studio, Wimbledon Art Studios, 10 Riverside Yard, London, SW17 0BB. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Your print is a delicate item. It will be handled by experienced operatives with the utmost of care prior to shipping; all prints are inspected thoroughly for marks, indentations and damage before being sent out. In the unfortunate event of your parcel being damaged in transit we will pursue the matter with the Royal Mail. In order to do this we will need you to email photographs of the damaged item and the damaged packaging to mel@melbarrettstudio.com. Without this information we will be unable to resolve the issue.
We will not be able to help you with lost items in the case of missed deliveries where your delivery has been left in a safe place or with a neighbour. It is your responsibility in the event of a missed delivery to follow up with the Royal Mail https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/19907
If a missed delivery is returned to us because it has not been collected from the parcel office you will be liable for the cost of postage if you would like the item to be resent.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items, bespoke items or one-off items.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
